It seems from the forum that several people would like to have networking like vmware:s nat where all guests are on the same subnet and can reach each other and shares a coomon dhcp pool from the host which works as a nat server.

baf: As of VBox 3.2.x it is now possible on the Linux and FreeBSD hosts by using VDE network. All VMs should connect to one VDE network, which is then NATted.

This is possible as of VBox 4.3 (NAT networks).
